Come join us for an autumn evening tour of Mapleshade Cemetery (at the corner of Brecksville & Rockside Roads). The Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the stories of those who lived in Independence. Our guides will lead you to the gravesites of local citizens hauntingly portrayed by their spirit characters.
Drive to Mapleshade Cemetery and follow the signs to the parking area. Meet your tour group at the welcome tent where you will receive a program booklet and can enjoy a donut and cider or hot chocolate before or after the tour.
This is not meant to be a scary event, but because of the subject matter, PARENTAL DISCRETION is advised for children younger than 10.
Bring your own lantern or flashlight.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time.
Sunset will be about 6:30 PM.
